This is a high-quality customer service and marine operations role. You are required to perform vessel duties safely and efficiently while delivering professional hospitality experience within a water-based tourism environment. This role also requires collaboration with all team members and strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and organisational values.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver professional and engaging customer service & entertainment throughout the passenger journey.
- Provide accurate information about onboard products, services (including the Navigators Group tourism products & services), destinations and tourism experiences.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with company standards, RSA requirements and food safety regulations.
- Maintain high standards of vessel cleanliness, presentation and hospitality service.
- Assist passengers with seating & accessibility. Provide additional support to customers where required, including safe and respectful assistance for individuals with disabilities, following all required safety protocols.
- Ensure customer complaints or feedback are handled in a professional manner and escalated when required with necessary reporting/recording.
- Follow directions from the Skipper and/or supervisor during vessel operations.
- Demonstrate competence with vessel safety procedures as they relate to patrons, yourself, colleagues, and the community.
- Maintain area presence & awareness of passenger safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Complete opening and closing vessel procedures and daily checklists.

- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience in hospitality, tourism or customer-facing roles
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable, organised and professionally presented.
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Working with Vulnerable People Registration (essential)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) License (essential)
- Do Food Safely Certificate (essential)
- National Police Check clear of encumbrances (essential)
- Evidence of a valid authority to work in Australia (essential)
