Casual, Part-Time and Full-Time Opportunities | Box Hill South and Heathmont

Our bilingual, Montessori-registered long day care services operate from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm . With a new service anticipated to open in the coming months, we are seeking motivated and experienced educators to join our supportive and professional team.

We welcome applications from educators interested in casual, part-time or full-time employment . Applicants should be flexible and available to work a range of shifts within our operating hours.

Please note: Employer sponsorship is not available for these positions.

Who we are looking for

Our preference will be given in the following order:

- Educators who hold a recognised Montessori qualification.
- Educators who are currently studying towards a Montessori qualification.
- Educators who have practical experience working in a Montessori environment.

You must also have at least one year of paid experience in the early childhood education and care sector .

We are looking for educators who do more than meet ratio requirements. The right candidates will take initiative, contribute to the daily operation of the service and work collaboratively to create positive outcomes for children, families and colleagues.

Your responsibilities

As part of our team, you will:

- Present engaging Montessori lessons that encourage curiosity and independence
- Act as a connection between the children, the prepared environment and the Montessori materials
- Model calm, respectful and positive behaviour
- Observe and document each child’s learning and development
- Adapt the environment and experiences to support individual needs
- Prepare and maintain an organised and inviting learning workplace
- Encourage freedom of choice, responsibility and independence
- Build respectful relationships with children and families
- Communicate professionally with families and colleagues
- Complete required documentation and administrative tasks
- Take initiative and contribute to a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture

Essential qualifications and requirements

Applicants must have:

- An early childhood qualification recognised by ACECQA—Certificate III, Diploma or Early Childhood Teaching qualification
- At least one year of paid experience in early childhood education and care
- A current Working with Children Check
- Current approved first aid qualifications, or the ability to obtain them before commencing
- Current Australian working rights
- Mandarin language skills are highly regarded but not essential.

A Montessori qualification, current Montessori study or practical Montessori experience is highly desirable.

Child-safety screening

Our organisation is committed to child safety and follows strict recruitment and screening procedures.

Applicants must be able to provide management-level referees . Referees for shortlisted candidates will be contacted as part of the recruitment process.

Shortlisted applicants will also receive a pre-interview information form. This form must be completed before an interview can be scheduled.
