McArthur has partnered with Barunga Village, in sourcing a reliable and experienced kitchen skilled to join the team at the Willochra Home, preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals for our residents. You will ensure meals meet dietary requirements and food safety standards while contributing to a welcoming dining experience. We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about the health and well-being of the elderly community, encouraging their independence, through person centred care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily kitchen operations and work collaboratively with the catering and care teams.
- Prepare, cook and present meals, including special dietary requirements, to a high standard.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene,
cleanliness, equipment and food safety standards.
- Assist with stock control, minimising waste and maintaining budget requirements.
- Contribute to food and nutrition policies, procedures and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support and guide kitchen staff as required and undertake other duties as directed by the Catering Manager.
About You:
- TAFE or trade-based qualifications in cookery/catering, or a willingness to undertake relevant study.
- Experience working in a catering or kitchen environment and preparing a variety of foods.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and relevant legislation.
- Strong teamwork, communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently, lead others and perform effectively under pressure.
- A current motor vehicle licence.
