Kryal Castle is Australia's only medieval adventure park and accommodation venue, offering a unique blend of history, entertainment, education, hospitality and immersive visitor experiences. Located in Ballarat, Victoria, the Castle welcomes thousands of visitors each year and continues to evolve as a leading tourism destination.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Executive to join our Management Team and play a key role in driving the commercial performance, operational excellence and future growth of Kryal Castle.

About the Role

n

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Commercial Executive is responsible for leading the commercial performance and guest experience across Kryal Castle's key revenue-generating areas, including Food & Beverage, Retail, Events, Ticketing and Commercial Partnerships.

n

You will provide leadership and direction across multiple departments, identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability, enhance the visitor experience, and contribute to the ongoing strategic development of the Castle.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead and support Food & Beverage, Retail, Ticketing, Functions and Events operations.
n
- Drive revenue growth, profitability and commercial performance across guest-facing departments.
n
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer spend, product performance and operational efficiency.
n
- Oversee retail operations, merchandise strategy, stock optimisation and supplier relationships.
n
- Manage ticketing systems, pricing strategies, packages and commercial reporting.
n
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers and commercial partners.
n
- Support the delivery of events, partnerships and new revenue opportunities.

- Work closely with the CEO and Management Team on strategic initiatives and business improvement projects.
n
- Champion exceptional guest experiences and a culture of high performance.
n

About You

n

You are an experienced commercial leader with a strong background in hospitality, tourism, attractions, entertainment, venues or similar customer-focused environments.

n

You will bring:

- Proven experience leading multi-department operations and diverse teams.
n
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience improving revenue and profitability.
n
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting and performance reporting.
n
- A track record of developing successful products, partnerships or revenue opportunities.
n
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining connected to day-to-day operations.
n
- Experience within tourism, visitor attractions, resorts, entertainment venues or theme parks will be highly regarded.

Requirements

n

n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior hospitality, venue, tourism, attraction or events leadership role.
n
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee).
n
- Reliable transport and ability to travel to Kryal Castle.
n
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays and evenings as required.
n
