We are looking for an experienced, all-round Carpenter to join our growing Nexx team in the Blue Mountains region.

This is a hands-on, full time role working across a broad range of fit-out, refurbishment and maintenance jobs for our government and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Reading plans and specs to work out materials, measurements and how it all goes together
n
- Ordering and selecting materials, and setting out layouts before the tools come out
n
- Cutting, shaping and fixing timber, plywood, lightweight steel and wallboard
n
- Framing walls, roofs and floors - and making sure it's all true, level and square
n
- Fitting fascias, sheathing roofs,



and fitting cladding and door and window frames
n
- Building up components in the workshop, ready for installation on site
n
- Cutting timber joints to trade standard
n
- Building formwork where the job calls for it
n
- Repairing and maintaining existing fixtures and fittings as part of our maintenance contracts
n
- The occasional bit of laminate, Perspex and light metal work on fit-out jobs

Skill & Experience

n

n
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade quals (or 3+ years' solid hands-on experience)
n
- Current NSW carpentry licence
n
- Skilled across framing, fit-out, formwork and finishing carpentry
n
- Comfortable reading plans and specs
n
- A self-starter with a reliable, can-do attitude
n
- Current driver's licence, happy to travel across the Blue Mountains/regional area
n
- Neat, presentable, and a clear communicator
n
- Comfortable dealing with both clients and office staff
n
- Willing to complete a National Police Check (we'll arrange this)
