As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in our daily clinic operations, working closely with our Ophthalmologists and Optometrists to deliver seamless patient care. You will be responsible for preparing patients for their consultations, conducting preliminary diagnostic testing, and maintaining clinical flow.
Key responsibilities
Welcome patients into the clinical area and prepare them for consultations.
Perform preliminary vision testing, including visual acuity and lensometry.
Administer eye drops (such as dilating drops) under clinical supervision.
Maintain clean, stocked, and well-organised consulting and diagnostic rooms.
Assist clinicians with minor clinical procedures, patient management and instrument sterilization.
Accurately document patient data and test results into our electronic medical records system.
About you
Prior experience in an ophthalmology, optometry/optical dispensing, or medical specialist practice is highly regarded but not mandatory.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn how to operate advanced medical machinery and clinic software.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
