Senior Investigator – Financial Fraud & Forensic Accounting | Sydney CBD (Hybrid) | Up to $150k package

A respected regulatory body is seeking a Senior Investigator to lead complex financial fraud matters and help protect consumers and market integrity.
n
This is a genuine end-to-end investigations role—ideal for a CA/CPA/IPA-qualified accountant from forensic accounting, insolvency/restructuring, internal audit, or investigations—who wants meaningful work without billable hours or sales targets.

What you'll do
n
n
- Lead complex fraud and misconduct investigations from initial complaint through to court-ready outcomes
n
- Identify and analyze financial evidence, transaction flows, and supporting documentation
n
- Prepare high-quality forensic reports, evidentiary materials, and clear recommendations
n
- Support litigation outcomes, including expert witness preparation/support where required
n
- Partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen controls, compliance,
and prevention measures
n
n
What you'll bring
n
n
- 5+ years' experience in forensic accounting, insolvency/restructuring, internal audit, or regulatory investigations
n
- Strong analytical capability and clear, confident written communication (you can explain complex financial issues simply)
n
- Sound judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to manage sensitive matters to a high standard
n
- Willingness to travel across Greater Sydney and occasionally regional NSW
n
