BSB Transport is a nationwide specialist container transport and logistics provider delivering reliable port-to-door container haulage across Australia. We operate a modern fleet of drop trailers and sideloaders, serving importers, manufacturers, retail distributors and port operators with end-to-end container logistics solutions.
As our client and supplier contract portfolio expands rapidly, we are seeking a dedicated Contract Administrator to own our full contract lifecycle, streamline administrative workflows and support our fast-growing transport operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Draft, review, amend and maintain commercial contracts across the business, including client container transport agreements, subcontractor arrangements, fleet and equipment maintenance contracts, and other supplier service agreements.
- 2. Manage the contract lifecycle for customer and supplier agreements supporting port-to-door container transport operations, including monitoring commencement and expiry dates, issuing renewal alerts, coordinating extensions and variations, and maintaining accurate contract records.
- 3. Respond to contractual queries raised by internal teams and external clients, interpreting contractual terms and supporting the consistent implementation of agreed service requirements.
- 4. Assist management with the negotiation and administration of client and supplier contractual terms, including service rates, delivery obligations, performance requirements, liability provisions and other commercial conditions applicable to container transport services.
- 5. Coordinate contract variations arising from changes to transport requirements, service arrangements, delivery schedules or operational conditions, ensuring approved amendments are properly documented, authorised and incorporated into the relevant agreements.
- 6.
Monitor contractual milestones, container collection and delivery commitments, service performance requirements and other contractual obligations, and prepare regular contract status and progress reports for senior management.
- 7. Collect and analyse contract and operational data, preparing monthly reports covering customer and subcontractor performance, contract expiry schedules, outstanding contractual matters, service issues and identified commercial risks.
- 8. Support operational teams in conducting contract compliance checks and assessing risks associated with container transport commitments, subcontractor performance, fleet service arrangements and customer requirements, and assist with appropriate risk mitigation actions.
- 9. Coordinate cross-functional contract administration, document control and records management, ensuring contracts, correspondence, approvals, variations and supporting documentation are accurately maintained and readily accessible.
Qualifications
- Diploma or higher qualification in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field
- At least9years hands-on full-time experience working as a Contract Administrator or commercial contract coordinator
- Fluent written and spoken English; Mandarin bilingual is highly desirable
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and document filing systems
- Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational ability
- Able to prioritise multiple concurrent tasks under tight deadlines with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
