Job Description

We're on the lookout for a Contracts & Procurement Lead who wants to step into a high-impact, hands-on role.

n

Reporting to the Group National Procurement Manager, you'll lead procurement and contract outcomes across multiple projects - making sure we're getting the best value, managing risk and setting projects up for success.

n

What you'll be doing

n

This is a broad, hands-on role where you'll play a key part in driving strong commercial outcomes across our projects.

n

Procurement & sourcing leadership

n

Lead procurement across multiple projects from start to finish, making sure everything lines up with timelines and budgets

n

Develop smart sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality and delivery

n

Run tender processes (RFQ/RFT) - from building scopes through to supplier selection and award

n

Build solid relationships across the supplier market to get the best outcomes and keep things competitive

n

Contract lifecycle ownership

n

Manage contracts right through from tender to close-out

n

Review and negotiate terms, spotting risks and opportunities early

n

Handle variations,



claims and EOTs so things stay on track commercially

n

Make sure head contract requirements are clearly carried through to subcontractors

n

Stay ahead of potential risks by identifying and managing them early

n

Provide practical, easy-to-understand advice to project teams and stakeholders

n

Support better decision‐making with clear commercial insight

n

Keep things well-governed without overcomplicating the process

n

Manage subcontractor onboarding, agreements and compliance

n

Keep an eye on performance across cost, quality and safety

n

Address issues early and drive accountability where needed

n

Build strong working relationships that create long-term value

n

Fleet & asset oversight

n

Support the day‐to‐day oversight of fleet and operational assets

n

Help manage the lifecycle - from procurement and allocation through to maintenance and replacement

n

Monitor usage and costs to keep things efficient

n

Make sure everything stays compliant and fit-for-purpose

n

Work closely with project teams and leadership as a trusted commercial partner

n

Influence outcomes through clear communication and strong negotiation skills

n

Look for ways to improve how we manage procurement, contracts and assets

n

Help drive consistency,



best practice and smarter ways of working across the business

n

About you

n

You're a commercially switched-on, solutions-focused professional who knows how to balance technical expertise with real-world outcomes.

n

You'll bring:

n

Solid experience working in procurement and contracts within project environments

n

A strong understanding of contract law and commercial fundamentals

n

The ability to negotiate, influence and get the best outcome for the business

n

A proactive approach - you don't wait for problems, you get on the front foot

n

Outstanding attention to detail, with a focus on doing things the right way

n

Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders across projects and teams

n

Qualifications in Law, Commerce, Business or Supply Chain are a plus, but not essential.

n
