- Hourly rate: Competitive pay based on experience and leadership ability. $45 to $55 ph, negotiable per experience.

- Location: Regional area in South East New South Wales.

Key responsibilities
n
n
- Deliver high-standard diagnostics, servicing and repairs on trucks, heavy machinery and diesel-powered equipment.
n
- Lead and mentor a skilled workshop team, coordinating workflow and maintaining service quality.
n
- Manage daily operations including job prioritisation and technical guidance.
n
- Support development and training of junior mechanics within the team.
n
- Perform scheduled servicing, complex fault troubleshooting and urgent breakdown repairs.
n
- Attend to field servicing and repairs at customer locations and major regional projects.
n
- Maintain clear communication with management to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
n

- Trade certification or equivalent qualification in heavy diesel mechanics or similar trade.
n
- Proven leadership experience managing workshop teams and mechanical workloads.
n
- Advanced diagnostic and repair skills across diesel engines, trucks and related machinery.
n
- Strong communication and mentoring capabilities.
n
- Permanent Resident visa status or Australian citizenship.
n
- Able to legally supervise apprentices
n
- Hold formal heavy-vehicle trade qualifications
n
- Competitive hourly remuneration commensurate with experience.
n
- Additional earning potential through project-rate work (1.5x and 2x base for project rates)
n
- Permanent full-time role with paid annual shutdown around the holiday season.
n
- 9-day fortnight post probation supporting work-life balance(RDOs)
n
- Limited weekend duties and infrequent overtime. 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday-to-Friday working hours
n
- Travel time covered for fieldwork as well as accommodation support for remote assignments.
n
- Scope for extended leadership responsibilities and career development.

- Relocation support may be available for suitable applicants.
