Job Description
Position
n
The Contract Administrator is responsible for the administration, performance monitoring, and commercial management of all client contracts and fixed-rate service agreements across the business. The role plays a critical part in ensuring contractual compliance, maintaining profitability, protecting contract margins and compliance, and delivering operational efficiencies throughout the supply chain and logistics network.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
n
Contract Administration and Commercial Management
n
n
- Administer and manage all client contracts and fixed-price service agreements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service level requirements.
n
- Monitor contract performance, profitability, and operational outcomes against agreed contractual terms.
n
- Develop, review, negotiate, and implement contract variations, renewals, extensions, and service agreements.
n
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve contract profitability and operational efficiency.
n
- Maintain accurate contract documentation, pricing schedules, and commercial records.
n
n
Financial Analysis and Business Improvement
n
n
- Analyse operational, financial, and performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvements.
n
- Develop pricing models and costing structures for existing and prospective contracts.
n
- Prepare costing and pricing inputs for contract renewals, variations and client quotation responses.
n
- Conduct commercial analysis of contract performance to support contract negotiations, variations and renewals.
n
- Prepare forecasting data and performance reports to support future business planning.
n
n
Client and Stakeholder Management
n
n
- Build and maintain solid relationships with existing and prospective clients.
n
- Act as a key point of contact for contractual matters and service-related issues.
n
- Ensure client expectations and contractual deliverables are clearly understood and consistently achieved.
n
- Support client retention initiatives and identify opportunities to expand service offerings within existing contracts.
n
- Participate in contract review meetings with clients, subcontractors and management.
n
n
Supply Chain and Operational Coordination
n
n
- Work closely with logistics, warehouse, and inventory management teams to ensure contractual requirements are effectively delivered.
n
- Coordinate subcontractor performance to ensure service delivery standards, compliance requirements, and commercial objectives are achieved.
n
- Monitor operational performance against contractual KPIs and agreed service levels.
n
- Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations.
n
n
Contract Compliance, Risk and Reporting
n
n
- Analyse risks associated with specific contract terms and advise management on appropriate mitigation.
n
- Monitor relevant legislative, award and regulatory changes affecting contracts and coordinate with management and external advisers as required.
n
- Interpret and explain contract requirements, terms and conditions to internal stakeholders, clients and subcontractors to support compliance.
n
- Maintain and improve contract-management systems and records, including the in-house platform, to support accurate and efficient contract administration.
n
- Assist in the preparation and negotiation of contract terms, renewals and variations with clients and subcontractors.
n

Skill & Experience
n
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
n
n
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration, commercial management, or supply chain contract management.
n
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to analyse costs, profitability, and operational performance.
n
- Experience within logistics, warehousing, inventory management, third-party logistics (3PL), or supply chain environments.
n
- Sound understanding of fixed-price service agreements, contract compliance, and service level management.
n
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
n
- Experience in pricing analysis, contract negotiation, and the administration of contract variations and renewals.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced data interpretation capabilities.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- High-level computer literacy and proficiency in business systems, reporting tools, and data analysis software.
n
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, distribution centres, inventory control, container handling, and material handling equipment (MHE).
n
- Demonstrated understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements within
n
- logistics and distribution environments.
n
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations
n
- Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline at AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma level or above.
n
- A demonstrable track record in WHS and its applications in fast paced and dynamic distribution facilities.
n
n
