Outback Equipment is one of Australia's leading online outdoor retailers, and we're looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our established Marketing & Ecommerce team. You'll be joining a well-oiled creative and marketing function, working across a high volume of projects including email, promotional campaigns, social media, digital advertising and packaging. This is a hands‑on role for someone with strong design fundamentals, a great eye for detail and a willingness to learn. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Ecommerce, you'll work with the wider marketing and product teams to bring campaigns and ideas to life across Outback Equipment and our owned brands.

Key responsibilities

Design engaging creative for email campaigns, promotions and customer communications

Create assets for social media, paid digital advertising and website campaigns

Support the rollout of promotional activity across multiple channels

Design and update product packaging, labels, inserts and other printed collateral

Assist with digital catalogues, product launches and brand materials

Adapt existing campaign concepts and creative across different formats and channels





Work closely with the marketing and ecommerce teams to deliver creative assets to tight retail deadlines

Ensure brand consistency and a high standard of execution across all customer touchpoints

Manage multiple design requests and priorities within a busy marketing calendar

Bring fresh ideas, inspiration and emerging design trends to the team

About you

1–3 years' skilled graphic design experience, ideally within retail, ecommerce, agency or a marketing environment

A portfolio demonstrating strong digital design skills across a variety of formats

Proficiency across Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

Experience creating digital assets for email, social media and/or paid advertising

Strong typography, layout and visual composition skills

Excellent attention to detail

The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn

An understanding of designing for different digital channels and formats
