About us

Strategic Communication delivers communication services on behalf of the department's business units to inform and educate the community about departmental policies, programs and legislation across the justice and community safety system.

What you will do

As senior adviser, campaigns, you will lead major communication campaigns and projects.

You will manage budgets, contracts, reporting and approval processes while keeping work on track.

You will:

- leadcomplex communication campaigns, strategies and projects from planning through delivery.
- provideclear advice on communication issues and support senior leaders with decisions.
- use research and evaluation to spotnew issues and improve campaign outcomes.
- leadsenior-level discussions to develop, deliver and measure communication strategies.
- prepareclear reports and briefs while meeting government rules and recordkeeping needs.

About you

You do not need a mandatory qualification for this role. A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or a related field is highly desirable.

You bring strong campaign experience and a sound understanding of government communication work. Experience in the public sector would be useful.

You should also have:





- strong campaign skills across marketing and communication work, with public sector experience preferred.
- sound government knowledge covering communication policies, processes, branding and advertising approvals.
- robust project skills that help you manage risks, budgets, governance and delivery.
- clear communication skills that help you build support, handle difficult issues and work well with others.
