Exciting opportunity to join Finance division in the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport
- This is a Clerk Grade 9/10 with a salary range of $133,348 - $146,945 per annum plus superannuation
- Temporary role (up to 8 months) based in Sydney CBD, flexible/hybrid working arrangements may be available within business operational needs including other locations negotiable

About The Role
The role is primarily responsible for coordinating the daily operations of a team responsible for providing strategic financial forward planning advice, solutions and models and managing major programs and reforms administered by Finance.
In the lead up to the 2027 NSW State Election, the role will also play a key role in coordinating the Department's response to Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) requests, including oversight of costings, financial analysis, stakeholder engagement and portfolio-wide coordination to ensure responses are delivered within strict timeframes and confidentiality requirements.
While the scope of work is defined by the operational priorities of the assigned business unit, the role is responsible for leading a team, a project or a program to deliver accurate, reliable and focused results that meet stakeholder expectations and the Directorate’s service delivery standards.
The role supports senior managers in the implementation of innovative solutions to achieve continuous improvements in corporate financial programs, processes and service delivery.
About You
We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in public sector budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, with a solid understanding of NSW Government financial and Treasury requirements.
