Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.
The Team & Role
This role involves acting as the first point of contact for Peninsula Health’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, delivering high-quality customer service while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality. It includes providing administrative and secretarial support to clinical staff, managing appointments, coordinating meetings, handling enquiries, and processing correspondence. The position requires accurate data entry across multiple systems, preparation and review of patient documentation, and compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines. Additionally, the role supports operational tasks such as ordering supplies, assisting with systems and equipment, and contributing to team collaboration and improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
- Certificate III in business administration or working towards same
- Knowledge of Medical terminology
- Previous experience in a mental health setting
- Intermediate to advanced ability to use MS Office suite of programs
- Ability to prepare letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language
- Extensive administration experience and switchboard functions
- Ability to plan, organise and deliver on competing work demands
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment as well as
Independently
- Demonstrated Initiative, self-direction, Innovation and ability to contribute to the development of current
services
- Well-developed Interpersonal skills
- Current Victorian Driver's licence
- Familiarity with the provisions of the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2014, including the mental
health principles
