Taphouse Hotel Group is a growing hospitality business with a focus on creating welcoming local venues that deliver outstanding food, beverage, and customer experiences. As we continue to invest in our business, we're seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of one of our established pubs on the Northern Gold Coast.

About the Role

n

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the overall performance of a busy hospitality venue. You'll oversee daily operations, lead and develop the team, drive commercial performance, and ensure every guest receives an exceptional experience.

n

You'llhave the prospect to influence the direction of the venue while maintaining high standards across service, compliance, and financial performance.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue

n

Lead, coach, and develop department managers and venue staff

n

Drive sales and profitability across food, beverage, gaming, and functions

n

Manage labour costs, budgets, stock control, and key performance indicators

n

Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain food quality and cost targets

n

Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, WHS, and food safety requirements

n

Build a positive team culture focused on accountability, service, and continuous improvement

n

Deliver an outstanding customer experience across all areas of the business

n

About You

n

You are a confident hospitality leader who enjoys being on the floor, developing people, and driving strong business results.

n

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

n





Minimum five years' experience in senior hospitality or venue management

n

Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse hospitality teams

n

Proven commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and KPIs

n

Experience in food and beverage operations, gaming, and functions

n

Sound knowledge of hospitality compliance and venue operations

n

A hands-on approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills

n

You will hold a QLD RSA and Approved Manager Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

n
