A refurbished with recent equipment analytical laboratory in Geelong is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

Monday to Friday, standard working hours.

n

About You:

n

n
- Tertiary Science Qualifications majoring in Chemistry
n
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Chemistry laboratory experience
n
- Excellent understanding of analytical techniques/methodology including accreditation programs
n
- Well organised with the ability to follow instructions and work with minimum supervision
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and Computer Skills
n

n

Duties:

n

n
- Quality control testing of raw materials and finished products
n
- Prepare client samples (soil, plant, water)



for testing whilst maintaining sample integrity and traceability under accreditation program guidelines
n
- Operation of ICP-OES, other equipment as required for sample testing
n
- Perform a wide range of basic tests, processing final sample results/reports and recording data
n
- Ability to perform instrument calibrations and preventative maintenance and troubleshooting using laboratory equipment
n
- All aspects of sample management and general laboratory duties include keeping the laboratory clean and tidy ensuring the workplace's health and safety
n
- Develop procedures and work instructions, where required
