About the Role





This senior leadership role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for managing and growing the organisation’s Residential and Specialised Support programs. You will lead services providing 24/7 therapeutic residential care for young people, alongside transition and post-care programs that promote independence and wellbeing. This is a fixed-term appointment with the possibility of extension. You will oversee a team of service leaders, ensuring delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care while maintaining compliance, accreditation and funding requirements. The role also includes identifying new service opportunities, preparing tenders and funding submissions, and building strong relationships with government and community stakeholders.

With responsibility for budgets, contracts and reporting, you will foster a culture of safety, learning and continuous improvement across the portfolio. Mandatory Requirements

- Fully completed Bachelor’s degree in Social or Behavioural Sciences, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline




- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior management role overseeing up to 5 direct reports within community services, child protection or related fields
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children) and Yellow Card (Disability Services)
- Current Queensland Open Driver’s Licence
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia

Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated managerial experience across community services, child protection and funding management in geographically diverse portfolios
- In‑depth knowledge of Commonwealth, State and Local Government child protection policies, compliance and frameworks
- Robust strategic and outcome‑focused mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High‑level communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
- Financial acumen and proven success in program growth and budget management
- Proven leadership capability to develop cohesive and high‑performing teams
