Brisbane | up to $130k + Super + Vehicle | Civil Construction

Minecon Recruitment is working with an established civil contractor looking to add an Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to their Brisbane team.

This role will work closely with project and site teams across environmental compliance, site-based environmental management and sustainability initiatives across civil and infrastructure projects.

We're looking for someone who understands the practical side of environmental management on construction projects and can work with delivery teams to make sure requirements are being met without losing sight of what is happening on site.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting environmental management across active civil construction projects
- Conducting site inspections, audits and environmental monitoring
- Managing environmental documentation, registers and project reporting
- Supporting compliance with project approvals, environmental requirements and client obligations
- Monitoring erosion and sediment controls, water, dust, noise, waste and other site environmental impacts
- Assisting with environmental incidents, investigations and corrective actions
- Working with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain environmental standards
- Supporting sustainability initiatives across waste, materials, carbon, water and resource use




- Collecting and reporting sustainability data against project and client requirements
- Identifying practical opportunities to improve environmental and sustainability outcomes across projects

About You

- Previous experience in an Environmental Advisor, Sustainability Advisor or similar role
- Experience within civil construction, infrastructure or a related project environment
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability or similar
- Valuable understanding of environmental compliance and construction-site environmental controls
- Experience with site inspections, audits, monitoring and reporting
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with project and site teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple environmental and sustainability requirements
- Current driver's licence
- Construction White Card
- Experience with major infrastructure projects or sustainability rating frameworks advantageous
