Our client is seeking a Senior Business Advisory Accountant with at least 5 years public practice experience to join their growing Firm and new office based in Brendale, QLD!

Are you ready to take on a leadership role with direct mentoring from senior leadership and work with highly experienced Accountants? This role suits a dynamic CPA or CA accounting seeking more client relationship responsibility and meaningful advisory work with established business clients.

Who we're looking for?

Would you enjoy providing high level accounting and advisory support particularly on a more personalised level to small business owners and empower your clients to better understand their numbers?

This role would suit a commercially minded accountant who goes beyond the numbers and asks the right questions to drive real business outcomes for their clients. Senior Business Advisors with strong Australian based Business Advisory experience, with skills and knowledge across the following responsibilities are who we're looking for!

What you can expect to be doing on a daily, weekly and monthly basis:

- preparing financial statements, tax returns, GST and tax planning
- leading client meetings and taking ownership of client relationships
- interpreting and explaining financial results to business owners
- analysing cashflow, pricing, margins and profitability
- looking beyond numbers into positioning, systems and culture
- turning financial insights into practical, actionable advice
- developing long-term relationships with advisory-focused clients

Min. 5 years Australian public practice accounting experience from mid tier accounting firms essential

Strong technical accounting and business tax knowledge

Confidence consulting and advising with business owners

Appreciation of a up-to-date, sophisticated, technology-driven and paperless firm

Commercially minded with a proactive, accountable approach

Xero, XPM, FYI, Excel and digital workflow system proficiency required

Management reporting tools and AI tool experience highly regarded .

Full Australian working rights essential as this is a full time, ongoing permanent role.
