The Opportunity

Our client is a privately owned, growing manufacturing business based in Melbourne's South eastern suburbs. They offer a supportive and collaborate environment, and reputation for being people-first and performance-focused.

You'll grow with the business and have the autonomy to take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations for a defined portion of the business.

The Challenge

n

Reporting to the General Manager Finance,your key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing journals and balance sheet reconciliations
n
- Maintain accurate financial records and support data entry into the accounting system
n
- Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
n
- Support with accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoices, payments, and reconciliation
n




- Support foreign currency hedging activities and the processing of FX payments
n
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial records are up-to-date
n
- Assist the broader finance team with ad-hoc month-end tasks
n

The Expertise

n

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, or related field
n
- You have recently completed or are part way through yourCA or CPA studies.
n
- You have minimum 3 years working experience either in a broad accounting role or at an accounting firm. Manufacturing or FMCG industry experience advantageous.
n
- You are familiar with working within a multi-entity/currency environment.
n
- You are detail oriented with a high attention to detail
n
- You are a confident communicator with robust stakeholder management skills
n
- You possess a strong willingness to learn and bring a positive, can-do attitude to the team
n
