The Opportunity

n

A long-term Foreman role for the Northern Beaches, walking distance to the beach. You'll be the number one on site, running the project day-to-day and reporting directly to the Construction Manager/Director.

n

This is full ownership of the site trades, programme, quality and site decisions sit with you.

n

This is a ling term/ Perm role with further works on the Northern Beaches

The Project

n

The current works involve converting an existing level one commercial building into 9 apartments - a technically interesting job combining refurbishment, structural modification and new residential fitout under one roof. It's a boutique scale project which demands a Foreman who can problem-solve on the fly and run the site independently, not just follow a set programme.

A privately owned building company with a robust reputation in boutique and medium-density residential apartments. Small, tight-knit leadership team, low staff turnover, and a preference for long-term relationships over rapid growth. Beyond this project, the builder has a genuine remainder of work locked in across the Northern Beaches,

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Running the site as the senior person in charge, day to day
n
- Trade coordination, sequencing and programme management
n
- Quality control and defect management through to handover
n
- Safety and site documentation
n
- Liaising directly with the Construction Manager/Director and client where required
n
- Coordinating subcontractors across structural, fitout and finishing trades
n

Experience Required

n

n
- Foreman experience running residential projects as the senior site presence (apartments, luxury housing or boutique multi-res)
n
- Strong trade coordination and programme management skills
n
- Relevant white card and site safety qualifications
n
- Experience on conversion or change-of-use projects
n
- Commercial fitout background will also be considered, particularly for candidates comfortable transitioning into residential
n
- Familiarity with coastal or constrained site conditions
n
