Job Description
Purpose and Main Responsibilities
n The purpose of the role is to support the Senior Planner with site assessments, due diligence and planning approval activities across GreenPoint Energy's portfolio of early-stage renewable energy (wind, solar and battery) across Australia. The role requires a person with a passion for working with local communities and Government to build Australia's renewable energy future.

Qualifications & Experience
n
n
- 0–3 years of experience in town planning, development approvals, or environmental planning, preferably within the renewable energy, , or infrastructure sectors (graduates welcome to apply)
n
- Tertiary qualification in Urban/Town Planning, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
n
- Developing knowledge of State and Local planning policies, legislation, codes and guidelines and environmental approval processes across Australian jurisdictions, with a willingness to build expertise on the job
n
- Some exposure to liaising with Local and State Government bodies and other authorities/agencies, or a strong interest in developing this experience
n
- Enthusiasm for building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including members of the public and local communities
n
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
n

At all times, you will be required to conduct yourself in a professional manner that reflects the core values of GreenPoint Energy, take initiative and seek out prospect and responsibility, displaying a strong work ethic and both ability and willingness to execute on a hands‐on basis.
n This includes supporting the Senior Planner by:

- Assisting with planning and environmental approvals for projects at Local, State and Federal levels
n
- Organising and attending meetings with Local and State Governments, and other authorities/agencies
n
- Communicating effectively and appropriately with a diverse range of stakeholders, including members of the public
n
- Supporting internal project management to progress the development of projects
n

n Accountable for achieving results and targets including but not limited to the following key performance indicators (KPIs):

- Assist in tracking project milestones and key deliverables
n
- Assist in engaging a range of technical experts to facilitate the development approval process
n
- Assist in achieving planning approval for a range of Renewable Energy Projects
n
- Assist in community engagement activities
