Job Description

Our client is a household name in Melbourns Custom residential build sector and is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Drafterto join their Baysideteam. Working closely with theirdesign, estimating and construction teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate documentation and technical drawings across a range of high end residential custom build projects - 2-6ml value each.

This is an excellent chance for a technically focused drafter who enjoys collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and contributing to projects from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare detailed design and construction documentation using Archicad.
n
- Produce plans, elevations, sections, joinery details and technical drawing packages.
n
- Coordinate documentation with consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
n
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards, Building Codes and project requirements.
n
- Assist with design development and technical problem-solving throughout project delivery.
n
- Review and update documentation throughout project stages.
n
- Support permit, tender and construction documentation processes.
n
- Maintain drawing registers and project documentation standards.
n
- Liaise with project managers, designers and site teams to ensure documentation accuracy.
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Qualification in Architectural Drafting,



Building Design, Architecture or related discipline.
n
- 5 + years' experience in a drafting or documentation role.
n
- Strong proficiency in Archicad required.
n
- Sound understanding of construction methodologies and detailing.
n
- Experience producing construction documentation for custom residential, design focused projects.
n
- Knowledge of Australian Building Codes and relevant standards.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
n
