IT vendor commercial processes for a large energy company, sitting at the intersection of finance and technology procurement.
You'll own the day-to-day commercial admin across IT vendor relationships. That means raising purchase orders, reconciling invoices, managing accruals, and supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles. You'll be the person keeping the numbers clean and the vendor processes moving.
The company operates at significant scale, which means the volumes you're working with are real and the processes actually matter. You won't be doing busy work. Errors in invoice reconciliation or accruals here have downstream consequences, so the work carries genuine weight.
This is a role for someone who's comfortable sitting between finance and IT. You'll deal with vendor contracts and procurement processes on one side, and internal finance reporting requirements on the other. The team values accuracy and consistency, and you'll have explicit scope to own your processes rather than just support someone else's.
What You'll Do:
- Raise and manage purchase orders across IT vendor contracts,
ensuring accuracy and timely processing throughout the procurement cycle.
- Reconcile vendor invoices against purchase orders and contracts, resolving discrepancies directly with vendors and internal teams.
- Manage monthly accruals for IT expenditure, keeping records current and audit-ready at all times.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with up-to-date vendor spend data and variance analysis.
What You'll Need:
- Experience in a commercial analyst, finance admin, or procurement support role with exposure to purchase orders and invoice reconciliation.
- Confidence working with accruals and supporting budget or forecast cycles in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP or procurement systems for financial processing.
About the Company:
They're a major player in the Australian energy sector, operating at national scale with a large and complex IT vendor portfolio. The environment is structured and process-driven, with genuine investment in getting commercial operations right.
