We are an established & rapidly growing FMCG Company specialising in the importing and distribution of Asian food products to all major retailers in the Australian & NZ markets. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, proactive, and self-motivated Accountant to join thisleading company in Asian food products, located in Archerfield, Queensland.

You will help to be part of the team's efforts to drive change, improve processes, and increase efficiency.

Position Profile

As an Accountant all-rounder, you are experienced, proactive and a self-starter. In this role, you’ll oversee and manage all facets of the company’s accounting activities to ensure financial and statutory reporting compliance. You’ll have the prospect to identify and implement process and system improvements. You’ll facilitate company asset management. You’ll manage a small accounts team, interact with internal and external stakeholders and execute other initiatives as required.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Reporting and Budgeting

Oversee AR and AP, GL and provide credit management guidance

Action certain overseas payments as required

Manage Payroll activities including timesheet capture and staff onboarding/termination

Manage periodic month end and year end closing including review all reconciliations,



preparing journals relating to Fixed Assets, Provisions, Accruals etc.

Monitor the Inter-company transactions

Preparation of periodic, half-year and year end Management Reports including Variance Analysis

Manage all Statutory Reporting including (but not limited to) preparation of FBT, GST/ BAS, payroll tax, PAYG, CDS

Prepare Cash-flow reporting and forecasting as required

Review and update Landed Costs and prepare reports as required

Meet & manage internal/external audit requirements

Facilitate asset leasing, general insurance and workers compensation case as required

Prepare and monitor yearly Budget

Develop and implement policies & procedure

Ad-hoc projects/tasks as required

Skills Required

2 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Qualified Accountant and tertiary qualification

Australian FMCG experience an advantage

Strong Excel skills and experience of Dynamics 365 an advantage

Strong communication verbal & written skills (Cantonese/Mandarin speaker an advantage)

Team player and able to work under pressure

Strategic thinker and must have analytical awareness

Knowledge of payroll, payroll tax, PAYG
