This role will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for both metal and tiled roofing projects, across residential and commercial construction.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Prepare detailed estimates for metal and tiled roofing projects.
n
- Review architectural drawings, engineering plans and project specifications.
n
- Complete accurate roof measurements and material take-offs.
n
- Price roofing materials, labour, equipment, subcontractors and associated works.
n
- Prepare quotations for residential and commercial projects.
n
- Estimate fascia, gutter, flashings, box gutters, drainage, roof ventilation and related roofing components.
n
- Liaise with suppliers and internal team members.
n
- Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing when required.
n
- Review tender documentation and identify exclusions, risks or unusual project requirements.
n
- Maintain current pricing schedules and estimating records.
n
- Assist with variations and revised quotations throughout the project.
n
- Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and completed within required timeframes.
n
- Provide clear job handovers to the operations and project management teams.
n

About You
n
The below skills will be advantageous and beneficial for the role:

- Previous experience as a construction estimator.
n
- Strong knowledge of both metal and tiled roofing systems.
n
- Experience estimating residential and commercial roofing projects is a positive
n
- The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
n
- Strong measurement, take-off and numerical skills.
n
- Knowledge of roofing materials, labour requirements and installation processes.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
n
- The ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines.
n
- Confident communication skills when dealing with builders, suppliers and subcontractors.
n
- Experience using estimating, construction or CRM software.
n
- Competency with Microsoft Excel and general computer systems.
n
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team workplace.
n
n
Experience using digital roof measurement or estimating software will be highly regarded.
n
