Role Overview

- Position Type: Full Time Permanent
- Start Date: Term 3, 2026 (July)
- Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs
- Subject Areas / Year Levels: Humanities, Years 7-9
- Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.





Melbourne - Western Suburbs | Humanities Teacher (Years 7-9) | Term 3, 2026

Role Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Humanities lessons across Years 7-9 aligned to the Victorian Curriculum
- Foster critical thinking, inquiry-based learning and global awareness across junior and middle year levels
- Apply evidence-based teaching strategies to support diverse learners in a highly multicultural school community
- Maintain accurate student records, assessments and reporting in line with college and Department of Education requirements
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues on Humanities curriculum planning, moderation and professional learning
- Contribute to the broader school community through pastoral care and co-curricular engagement

About You

- Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
- Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent qualified references
- Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
- Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
