Opening in 2027 in the heart of Caulfield, Shelford Campus willbe Caulfield Grammar School’s newest Junior School. The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to support the health, wellbeingand safety of students as part of the foundation team at our newShelford Campus.
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Campus, the Nurse will providehigh-quality first aid and health care management to students andstaff, ensuring health needs are assessed, managed and supported inaccordance with School protocols and procedures. Working closelywith the wider Health Centre team, you will play an important rolein promoting student wellbeing and maintaining a safe andsupportive learning environment.
As a key member of the campus community, you will provide timelyclinical care, oversee medication administration, maintain accuratehealth records and communicate effectively with parents, staff andexternal health providers. You will also contribute to the overallwellbeing of students through a caring, professional and proactiveapproach.

This is a permanent full-time, term time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, treat and manage a range of student and staffhealth care needs, including injuries and illness.
- Provide timely first aid and health care managementinaccordance with School procedures.
- Liaise with parents, staff, emergency services andhealthcare providers regarding student health matters whereappropriate.
- Coordinate referrals to medical and allied healthprofessionals as required.
- Administer and supervise medications in accordance withSchool guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely health records, includingdocumentation of incidents and treatment provided.
- Complete accident and incident reporting and escalatematters where required.
- Maintain student and staff medical records and ensureinformation remains current, as well as assisting with otheradministration needs of the School when required.
- Assist with the management of medical equipment, first aidsupplies, medications and pharmacy orders.
- Support the physical, emotional and overall wellbeing ofstudents through a proactive and caring approach.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effectivehealth centre operations and adequate campus support.
- Uphold the School's commitment to Child Safety, ensuringthe wellbeing, safety and dignity of all students at alltimes.

Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Division 1.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Certificate.
- Current Anaphylaxis Management qualification.
- Current Asthma Management qualification.
- Experience providing first aid and health careservices.
- Experience working in a school setting is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of legal and statutory obligationsrelating to healthcare practice.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students,families and staff.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and record managementcapability.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while alsooperating independently.
