Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a fulfilling role in a supportive rural health setting? We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse – Grade 2 to join a Nursing team and help deliver safe, high-quality patient care to the local community.

About the Role

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering effective, efficient and quality patient care across the acute and sub-acute settings at Orbost Regional Health. This is a genuine chance to broaden your clinical scope in a close-knit rural facility where no two days look the same.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care within professional, legal and ethical standards
- Assess patients' health needs and expected outcomes, and develop care plans in collaboration with the broader healthcare team




- Involve patients in planning and delivering their own care
- Liaise with medical, clinical and senior nursing staff when additional expertise is required
- Deliver patient education and appropriately document advice given
- Maintain accurate, contemporary clinical records
- Assist with discharge planning
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Participate in the patient admission process
- Contribute to relevant hospital committees
- Support the orientation of new staff
- Participate in projects and other duties as required

About You

We’re looking for candidates with a background in one or more of the following:

- Acute Medical/Surgical nursing
- Generalist nursing
- Emergency Department (ED) nursing
- Rural/generalist hospital nursing
- Combined acute and aged care/sub-acute experience
