Practice Information:
This organisation was established in 2019 with a strong vision to make a change in the allied health space and really focus on client advocacy. Too often people get treated like a number and their voice is not heard. That is where they come in, they want them to be the hero in their own journey and feel empowered whilst knowing they have their guidance and support along the way. At the end of the day, it is their journey, their way!
Position Description:
Your role will involve but not be limited to:
100% Clinical case load from the beginning
Work from home, the park, or a cafe for your office work
In community consultations - see clients in their own home, workplace, school or kindy to make the most benefit to their goals
Gym based and pool-based days - get the feeling of having a clinic base, but not tied down to the same day everyday
Treat a range of clientele and ages– with a large focus on the disability (NDIS) & community aged populations (My Aged Care). Peads to elderly
Write a variety of reports to third parties
Creating a system that works for you to complete all expected tasks
Supporting the team & creating awareness for this service
Liaising and brainstorming with the team regarding client specific cases
Involved in regular team meetings – wellness and goal setting as well as team growth (these are done in person monthly and weekly online to get some additional team time within a community role)
Contributing to the improvement of systems and processes where necessary
Position Requirements:
18 months+ of experience as an Exercise Physiologist
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Exercise Physiology
Current ESSA Registration
Current indemnity insurance & Public Liability
CPR & First Aid Certificate
Australian Driver’s License
Wanting to work within a community setting, experience preferred
Effective communication skills to a range of personality types and abilities
Thrives in both a team and an autonomous setting
Caring and supportive nature
Is happy to adapt a fun and functional approach with children and think on your toes to create engagement and participation
Attention to detail Experience within the NDIS sector
