Site Foreman - High End Apartment Development - Chatswood

Established and multi award winning class 2 residential and commercial builder developer have an immediate requirement for a site Foreman for a luxury apartments development.

n

You will be part of a highly qualified team to help deliver this project from basement level reporting to an experienced Senior Site Manager and Senior Project Manager.

n

You will be expected to hit the ground running and keep up with the programming and scheduling of the project.

n

You will lead a teams on site and will be responsible for the structure and then the finishes / interiors.

n

Duties and Responsibilities:

n

Reporting to the Site Manager you will prepare work programs and monitor progress of the structures and then the finishes works.

n

To thrive in this role you will be the type of person who pays attention to the small details, and can plan work sequences down to an art.

n

You will take ownership of a dedicated set of works or area of the project, which means you will need to be confident working independently. You'll have the support of a large team behind you who can get you up to speed on the project intricacies and help you solve problems.

n

Overall, your goal is to eliminate defects at the source,



but on a day-to-day basis you will:

n

Co-ordinate and implement all day-to-day activities on the site

n

Effectively manage the construction program to achieve progress and project delivery schedules

n

Effectively manage subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers on-site

n

Manage and coordinate materials, plant and equipment on-site

n

Conduct Site Inductions for staff and Subcontractors

n

Conduct Tool Box Talks

n

Respond to site emergencies and co-ordinate with appropriate authorities

n

About You

n

Trade qualifications in carpentry or construction management degree

n

5+ years experience on high rise residential projects as a site Foreman with both structures and finishes skills.

n

Proven experience in effectively managing a team including sub-contractors, in a qualified manner and ensuring longevity of relationships.

n

Good understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation and requirements, and proven experience of effectively controlling site safety and environmental compliance

n

Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

n

Excellent Document Control skills with Procore
