Food Manufacturing | Employee Relations | Compliance & Workforce Capability

An established and growing food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced HR Manager to provide practical, hands-on human resources leadership across a dynamic, shift-based workforce.

This is a key standalone role supporting the CEO and management team to strengthen people systems, improve workforce capability, manage employee relations matters and ensure employment compliance across the business.

Working three days per week, the successful candidate will be a visible and trusted advisor who enjoys balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day operational HR responsibilities.

About the Role

This position offers a broad generalist HR remit, including:

- Providing practical advice and coaching to managers on performance, conduct, attendance, grievances and workplace behaviour.
- Managing investigations, disciplinary matters and employee relations issues.
- Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and probation processes.
- Maintaining employment contracts, employee records, position descriptions and HR documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation, awards and workplace obligations.
- Managing visa and work rights compliance, including VEVO monitoring and reporting.
- Supporting WorkCover and return-to-work processes.
- Developing leadership capability through coaching and people management training.
- Analysing workforce trends and providing monthly HR reporting to the CEO.





What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business or a related discipline.
- Strong generalist HR experience, ideally within manufacturing, food production, warehousing or other shift-based environments.
- Proven experience managing performance, misconduct, grievances, investigations and termination processes.
- Sound knowledge of Fair Work legislation, Up-to-date Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Experience managing WorkCover and return-to-work matters.
- Exceptional communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
