If you enjoy making messy asset datasets reliable and usable, this is a hands‑on role where accuracy, structure and stakeholder support really matter.

You will support a local government asset planning function by maintaining current, trusted asset information across key asset classes and helping improve how asset data is managed and consumed across the organisation.

You will work within an Asset Planning team, partnering closely with GIS support and internal stakeholders who rely on accurate registers, spatial data and reporting.

Duties and responsibilities include:





- Update asset registers (attributes and spatial information) from capital works and developer handovers
- Perform asset data cleansing and integrity improvements across asset classes
- Complete data edits and respond to internal and external asset data requests
- Support delivery of maps, spatial outputs and technical assistance for projects
- Maintain and improve plan registers, digital storage and technical librariesCollaborate with GIS stakeholders to ensure corporate spatial data remains current

We are looking for someone with:

- Demonstrated experience in asset data management and maintaining asset registers
- Solid QGIS capability (asset spatial data management and editing)
- Advanced Excel skills for data cleansing, validation and reporting
- Exposure to SQL and confidence working with queries, extracts or transformations
- Experience with FME (or similar tooling) is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to liaise effectively with varied stakeholders
