Electrical Mechanics - Townsville

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including street lighting, traffic signals, and basic intelligent transport systems.
n
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
n
- Comply with relevant legislation, policies, and safety standards while executing field tasks.
n
- Participate in project-related activities, including site assessments and systems upgrades.
n
- Travel across operational units and potentially throughout Queensland to support various projects as needed.
n
- Valid Electrical Work Licence issued in Australia.
n
- Current First Aid certification including CPR, along with Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel certification.
n
- Possession of a White Card for construction work.
n
- Hold a valid Australian Open Class C Driver's License.
n
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
n
- Ability to participate in skills assessments during the recruitment process.
n
- Flexibility to travel regionally and stay away from home when required.
n

Essential Requirements:

n

n
- Valid Electrical Work Licence issued in Australia.
n
- Current First Aid certification including CPR, along with Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel certification.
n
- Possession of a White Card for construction work.
n




- Hold a valid Australian Open Class C Driver's License.
n
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
n
- Ability to participate in skills assessments during the recruitment process.

- Flexibility to travel regionally and stay away from home when required.

Preferred Qualifications and Conditions:

n

n
- Queensland MR Class Driver's Licence (or equivalent).
n
- ACMA Registered Open Cabler with endorsements in Structured Cabling, Optical Fibre, and Coaxial.
n
- EWP (Elevating Work Platform) competency for heights over 11 meters.
n
- Certification in Working in Proximity to Traffic (Parts 1 and 2).
n
- Relevant industry experience, particularly in electrical installation and maintenance.
n
