ALEX Kitchen and Joinery is looking for a talented Design Coordinator to help bring custom residential joinery projects to life. You will play a central role in connecting clients, designers and our overseas drafting team, ensuring every design decision is communicated clearly, documented accurately and progressed on time.

You will be involved from the initial design consultation through to design development, material selection, and final design approval.

n

Role Description

Employment Type: Full-time

We are seeking a full-time Interior Design Coordinator to join our growing team based in Silverwater. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills and hands-on experience in interior design/ joinery design, who enjoys coordinating between different projects and deliverying concepts into reality.

n

This role requires a good understanding of interior and joinery design, as well as the ability to interpret professional shop drawings accurately.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Act as the key point of contact between clients, project manager, and our overseas drafting team, ensuring clear and effective design communication throughout each project

n

Host design meetings with retail clients,



take detailed meeting minutes, and track follow-up actions to ensure timely project progress

n

Accurately and promptly communicate design revisions and technical feedback to our overseas drafting team

n

Assist clients with material selections and participate in design consultations to deliver tailored interior solutions

n

Provide showroom support and assist with general interior design and administrative tasks

n

Conduct in office meetings and gather project-specific information

n

Assist in preparing, coordinating, and managing design documentation throughout the entire project lifecycle

n

Requirements

n

Full-time availability and ability to work from our Silverwater office

n

Holds a valid driver's license and is able to travel independently to sites

n

Minimum 2+ years of experience in joinery design and/or interrior design related fields

n

Fluent in spoken and written English; Mandarin Chinese proficiency is preferred

n

Strong communication, coordination, and organisational skills

n

Solid understanding of interior design documentation, including CAD drawings, finish schedules, and 3D visuals schedules
