About The Opportunity
We are seeking an Organisational Development Officer to coordinate and provide practical delivery support across Council, including supporting leaders to identify skill and capability needs, coordinate training activities, and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance and operational readiness. You’ll assist with inductions, safety and technical training, manage early-career programs such as traineeships and apprenticeships, and track progress and produce reports. Your work will help shape a culture of learning and development that benefits both our employees and the community.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the delivery of approved Council programs by coordinating schedules, bookings, participant communications, materials, and post-program follow-up.
- Coordinate established organisational development initiatives, workshops and BRC Way We Work Activities.
- Maintain and update approved resources, toolkits, guides, templates and supporting materials.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, organisational culture, and employee experience by coordinating activities, tracking agreed actions, preparing communications,
and assisting with evaluation and continuous improvement activities.
- Undertake research, benchmarking, and evaluation activities, summarising findings and identifying practical considerations to support planning, decision-making, and continuous improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- Certificate level or higher qualifications in a relevant discipline (administration, adult education, workplace health and safety, business).
- Demonstrated experience coordinating programs, workshops, projects, or business initiatives
- Ability to coordinate and deliver training activities across a diverse workforce.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
