We are looking for an experienced Chef to join the growing kitchen team at Marsden Brewhousein Sydney's Northwest.
Applicants should have relevant experience in food technology, beverage production or a related field, with sound knowledge of quality control, food safety and production processes. They should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Requirements are:
- Conduct experiments and testing to determine the chemical composition and reactive characteristics of natural substances and processed materials.
- Undertake research and analysis to develop theories, methods, and processes, and evaluate the reliability of results under varying conditions.
- Apply experimental and research findings to develop practical applications and solutions.
- Evaluate food products for flavour, colour, taste, texture, and nutritional composition.
- Provide advice on appropriate methods for food preservation, processing, packaging, storage, and distribution.
- Establish quality control procedures and safety standards for food manufacturing and production processes.
- Analyse grape samples to determine ripeness, sugar and acidity levels, and assess their suitability for processing.
- Coordinate winemaking operations and supervise workers involved in grape testing and crushing, juice fermentation, fortification, clarification, maturation, and finishing processes.
- Blend wines using established formulations and skilled knowledge of winemaking methods and techniques.
- Job will require approx. 38 hrs per week
