The successful applicant will be an integral member of the College’s TAS Department, contributing to the broader faculty and supporting learning across the department.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs and contributing positively to the broader TAS Department.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons in accordance with NESA curriculum requirements.

Teaching and supporting other subject areas within the TAS Department, where appropriate to qualifications and experience.

Supporting students to develop their creative, practical and critical thinking skills.

Assessing and reporting on student learning and progress.

Maintaining a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.

Working collaboratively with members of the TAS Department and College leadership.

Contributing to faculty programs, projects, exhibitions and other College activities.

Contributing to the broader life of the College.

Supporting the values, ethos and traditions of St Spyridon College.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications.

Current NESA accreditation.

Current NSW Working with Children Check.





Demonstrated experience and/or capability in teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school environment.

The ability and willingness to contribute across the broader TAS Department.

Experience or qualifications in additional TAS subject areas will be highly regarded.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

A commitment to providing engaging and high-quality learning experiences.

A collaborative and professional approach to working with colleagues, students and families.

A willingness to support and respect the Greek Orthodox ethos and values of the College.

Success Criteria:

The successful applicant will:

Be willing to use student data effectively to inform teaching practice

Be able to contribute to the strong academic culture of the school environment

Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs

Use relevant technology to support instruction

Observe and evaluate student's performance and development

Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress

The successful candidate will possess the following core competencies:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Motivation, dedication and enthusiasm for learning

Positivity and a high level of emotional intelligence

High expectations for the learning and achievements of students

Professional presentation and conduct





A strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively

Willingness to actively support the Orthodox ethos of the school

Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain:

NESA Accreditation.

NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC).

Current National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain).

Current First Aid and CPR qualifications (desirable).

Full Australian working rights.

Employment Conditions

This is a full-time, fixed-term position commencing Term 4, 2026.

Salary and employment conditions will be in accordance with the Independent Schools (Teachers) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025 and will be determined based on the successful applicant's qualifications and years of recognised teaching service.
