We are looking for an experienced Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our People & Culture team. Reporting to the P&C; Director, you'll be the subject matter expert for compensation and benefits across Australia and Current Zealand, partnering with Finance, commercial teams and external providers to deliver best-practice reward programs and payroll governance.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Act as the key liaison with the outsourced payroll provider, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across Australia and New Zealand.
n
- Oversee payroll-related compliance, superannuation, tax, workers compensation, reporting and HRIS data integrity.
n
- Approve payroll inputs including employee movements, salary changes, bonuses and terminations.
n
- Support payroll accounting, reconciliations, payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG/PAYE and statutory reporting.
n
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, taxation and payroll obligations.
n
- Manage payroll reporting, analysis and month-end activities.
n
- Support audits and external reporting requirements.
n
- Support the maintenance of data integrity across Employment Hero, Hero Pay and SuccessFactors.
n
- Lead annual remuneration activities including salary reviews, bonus and incentive programs, payroll budgeting and quarterly reforecasting.
n
- Manage job evaluation, market benchmarking and remuneration analysis to ensure equitable and competitive reward practices.
n
- Manage employee benefits administration, workforce reporting, WGEA and other annual compliance requirements.
n
- Support broader People & Culture initiatives and projects as required.

About You
n
You'll bring:
n
n
- Experience in compensation, perks and payroll, ideally in a retail or multi-site environment.
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation; New Zealand payroll experience is advantageous.
n
- Experience with remuneration reviews, salary benchmarking and job evaluation.
n
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capability.
n
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Employment Hero, Hero Pay and/or SuccessFactors preferred).
n
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
n
