Task & responsibilities

n

We are looking for qualified tradespeople with skills and experience in either vehicle body and panel repair, automotive spray painting and refinishing, or both disciplines.

n

Vehicle Body and Panel Repair

n

n
- Assess vehicle damage and determine the required repair work.
n
- Repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies, panels and structural components to a high standard.
n
- Remove, repair, refit and accurately align panels, doors, bumpers and related fittings.
n
- Complete repairs efficiently and within quoted timeframes.
n
- Inspect completed repairs and rectify any defects before refinishing.
n

Surface Preparation and Spray Painting

n

n
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, masking and applying primers.




n
- Mix and colour-match automotive paints to achieve accurate and consistent results.
n
- Operate spray-painting equipment to apply automotive paints, coatings and finishes.
n
- Refinish repaired and replacement panels in accordance with manufacturer and factory specifications.
n
- Inspect completed paintwork and rectify imperfections to achieve the required finish.
n

General Workshop Responsibilities

n

n
- Work independently and collaboratively with panel beaters, spray painters and other workshop staff.
n
- Follow workplace safety requirements, manufacturer specifications, repair procedures and quality standards.
n
- Maintain spray-painting equipment and keep the spray booth and work area clean, organised and safe.
n

n

Qualification & experience

n

n
- Trade qualification as a Vehicle Painter or Panel Beater
n

n

Required Skills

n

n
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
n
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
n
- Own tools and a current Australian driver's licence (preferred)
n
