Roundtree Search is partnering with a leading Sydney-based real estate funds management and private equity platform to appoint an Invesment Analyst into their Investments team.

Our client has a significant track record within real estate assets across office, industrial, healthcare, retail and logistics, and has a track record of proprietary, value-oriented transactions, from single-asset acquisitions through to multi-asset and corporate portfolio deals. Backed by both significant private and institutional capital and a genuinely entrepreneurial ownership group, there are multiple strategies in the pipeline which this role will take an active role in.

Analyst hire

This role sits within the investments team, reporting into senior leadership, and is ideally suited to a highly numerate, detail-oriented individual who wants exposure to live, end-to-end transaction execution, "cradle to grave". You'll get genuine reps across the full deal lifecycle: sourcing, underwriting, financial modelling, investment committee papers, and execution.

- Single-asset property investment opportunities across commercial, industrial, retail, residential, logistics, cold storage, multifamily, self-storage, student housing, hotels & resorts, and entertainment/leisure assets
- Multi-asset and corporate portfolio opportunities
- True private equity, corporate finance and fund modelling





What you'll be responsible for

- Financial modelling and analysis supporting the underwriting of acquisition and disposition opportunities
- Preparing investment committee memos and supporting materials for bid or offer documentation
- Conducting market research to support the development of investment strategies and identify transaction opportunities
- Drafting components of the business case for acquisitions or dispositions
- Supporting capital raising initiatives for future funds, as required
- Assisting on special projects and cross-team initiatives across the wider platform

What we're looking for

- A business, finance, economics or property-related degree
- 1-3+ years' experience in investment banking (real estate investment banking an advantage but not essential) or real estate private equity.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with a rigorous, detail-oriented approach
- Clear verbal communication and succinct written communication for investment papers and bid documentation
- A disciplined investment ethos paired with commercial creativity and the ability to move quickly and efficiently
- A cooperative team mentality - this platform operates as one integrated team across property, corporate and funds functions
