A well-established, mid-sized accounting and financial advisory firm is seeking a strong Senior Accountant to join its growing team. This is a hands-on role offering broad exposure across accounting, taxation and advisory, with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals across integrated service lines.
About the Firm
This firm is an integrated accounting and financial advisory practice with a collaborative leadership group of 3 Directors/Partners and a broader team of 16 across accounting, advisory, paraplanning and client services. The team works with a diverse client base across healthcare, construction and trades, agriculture, professional services, retail/hospitality and not-for-profit organisations, providing exposure to a broad range of regional SME and family business clients.

About the Role
You will be a key member of the accounting team, working across a diverse portfolio of regional SME and family business clients. The role will involve a combination of financial statements, tax compliance and business advisory, with significant opportunity to become involved in strategic client conversations and value-add work. You will work closely with Directors, Chartered Accountants, Financial Advisers and SMSF specialists, giving you exposure to a broader range of client matters and the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded business adviser.
About You
You will have:
- 4+ years' experience in Business Services within an Australian public practice environment
- CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards completion
- Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
- Experience managing a portfolio of SME and business clients
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
- An interest in developing beyond compliance into business advisory
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across different service lines
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of your work
- A genuine interest in building long-term client relationships and developing your career within a growing firm
