The Role
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities across the site. You will lead a small maintenance team while remaining actively involved in preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and driving plant reliability across production operations.
- Lead and coordinate maintenance activities across production equipment, utilities, and site infrastructure to ensure maximum plant uptime and reliability.
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventative and corrective maintenance programs while minimising operational downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults across a range of manufacturing equipment and plant utilities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, breakdown reduction, maintenance planning, and asset performance.
- Support and coordinate maintenance fitters, electricians, apprentices, and contractors while promoting a strong safety-first culture.
- Manage spare parts inventory, coordinate external service providers, and assist with maintenance budgeting and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, maintenance standards, audits, risk assessments, and site safety procedures.

Your Background
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or similar mechanical trade background.
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Supervisor, Leading Hand, Senior Maintenance Fitter, or similar leadership position within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience leading maintenance teams and coordinating contractors within a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance, reliability improvement, and maintenance planning principles.
- Exposure to CMMS or ERP systems such as SAP is highly regarded.
