I'm working with a growing Brisbane public practice firm looking for a Senior Business Services Accountant who wants greater client ownership, more advisory exposure and a genuine pathway towards Manager.

The opportunity

You’ll take ownership of a quality portfolio of privately owned SME clients while working closely with experienced Managers and Partners.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Managing your own portfolio of SME clients
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns and BAS
- Providing business advisory and tax planning support
- Working directly with business owners
- Assisting with more complex client matters
- Reviewing work and supporting junior accountants
- Identifying opportunities to add value beyond compliance
- Building long-term client relationships





The role is designed for someone who wants to continue developing technically while becoming more commercially involved with their clients.

What they're looking for

- 3+ years' Australian public practice experience
- Strong Business Services and Tax experience
- Experience managing a client portfolio
- CA/CPA qualified or currently studying
- Robust communication and client relationship skills
- An interest in developing further into advisory
- Someone ready for the next step towards Manager
