Job Description
Co-occurring Needs Clinician, Alcohol & Other Drugs
n
This is a part-time position (22.5 hours per week), fixed term until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension. Based in Queanbeyan.
n
Th Co-Occurring Needs Clinician, AOD will provide integrated, recovery-oriented care to individuals experiencing both substance use and mental health concerns. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the role focuses on holistic assessment, treatment planning, case management, counselling and group facilitation to address the complex

Duties
n
n
- Deliver coordinated, trauma-informed and person-centred support to clients and their families.
n
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrated service delivery.
n
- Facilitate access to appropriate mental health, AOD, and community-based support services.
n
- Promote positive client outcomes and continuity of care through effective care coordination.
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
n
- Qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or another relevant discipline,
with current skilled registration or accreditation (e.g. AHPRA, OTA, AASW, APS, PACFA, or ACA).
n
- Experience in health and community services working with people with complex, co-occurring needs.
n
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based AOD and mental health interventions, including harm minimisation principles, recovery-oriented practice, and integrated care models.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work with clients using a trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centred approach, including people experiencing distress.
n
