The Role
n
Key Result Areas
n
- Coordinating services to elders in their home, employing a 'client needs' mentality.
n
- Coordinate the delivery of in-home services to elders living at home according to stakeholder requirements, quality standards and program guidelines.
n
- First point of contact for clients for service arrangements.
n
- Representing MiCare externally to engage different stakeholders.
n
- Manage and facilitate the transfer of information across all stakeholders efficiently.
n
- Support Personal Care Assistants in the delivery of services.
n
What We're Looking For
n
Qualifications
n
- A qualification relevant to the role and function of this position such as a certificate III in Business Administration, Aged Care.
n
Experience
n
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs including high level experience in Excel, Word and Outlook and rostering programs.
n
High level administration skills, including data entry, and computer operations.
n
Knowledge of the Home Care Standards and compliance.
n
Working understanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
n
Working knowledge of employment Awards and EBAs relevant to Direct Care staff.
n
Understanding of the ageing process.
n
Previous experience in rostering and coordinating, preferably in Aged Care services environment.
n
Experience with Client Management Systems, such as AlayaCare.
n
Previous experience with general office duties and inbound calls.
n
Essential skills
n
The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment.
n
A preparedness to work to the 10 principles of the Eden Alternative philosophy.
n
Self-motivated with a flexible, caring and patient attitude.
n
Strong knowledge of community aged care.
n
Experience in rostering and coordinating, preferable in Home Care services environment.
n
Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills and an ability to make decisions based on sound information.
n
Eye for detail and very high standards of accuracy.
n
Ability to work well with others and be a participative and supportive team member.
n
Ability to accept direction and provide timely and constructive reporting.
n
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
