The Senior Renal Social Worker Level 4 is a vital member of both the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) Renal Service and the broader multidisciplinary healthcare team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based social work services to patients and clients across inpatient and outpatient settings. Working with people living with late-stage chronic kidney disease, this role provides comprehensive psychosocial assessment, advocacy, information and education, referral to community supports, and emotional and practical support for patients, families and carers through a client-centred approach. This is an chance to make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of renal patients while contributing to service excellence and the ongoing development of social work practice across MLHD.

- Tertiary qualification in Social Work with eligibility for full membership with AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers).

- Advanced clinical skills, knowledge, and experience in delivery of high-quality evidence based Social

- Work in the field of healthcare and chronic disease. Experience in leadership within a multidisciplinary team setting and ability to provide professional supervision to local and district allied health staff/students.

- Excellence in communication skills , negotiation, decision making, advocacy, and the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

- Clinical inpatient experience will be highly regarded.
