About the Role

Registered Nurses are required to work across morning, afternoon and night shifts at our facilities located in Chermside.

n

In this role, you will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, provide exceptional care, and contribute to ongoing learning and development within the service.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Conduct thorough assessments, care planning, direct nursing care, and review of care using the biopsychosocial model to optimise customer independence.
n
- Provide workplace coaching, guidance and supervision to Carers, Assistant in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses, acting as a role model for practice and skilled conduct.
n
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety, infection control, and safe work practices at all times.
n
- Prepare written and verbal reports on the social, physical and emotional well‐being of residents for Clinical Nurses or Assistant Manager, and collaborate to achieve quality outcomes.

Qualifications

n

n




- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
n
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical nursing practice with an understanding of contemporary nursing theory and care documentation models.
n
- Generalist registered nursing experience with knowledge of aged care (highly desirable).
n
- Ability to rapidly acquire appropriate aged care legislation standards and incorporate them into daily practice.
n
- Compliance with relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy.
n
- Proof of vaccination status as required by legislation, health directives or WMQ policy before commencement and throughout employment.
n
