We are urgently seeking two (2) Field Workers to join the Streetscape team with a local government council crew based in Ipswich.

- 1 x position: 9-day fortnight – 76 hours per fortnight , 6:00am–3:00pm
- 1 x position: 3 days per week – 25 hours per week , 6:00am–3:00pm

Duties include maintaining parks and sports fields, including:

- Maintaining garden beds in parks, streetscapes and median strips.
- Weed identification and control.
- Mulching garden beds to improve presentation and plant health.
- Fertilising and treating plants to support growth and health.
- Replacing damaged, diseased or dead plants.
- Site clean-up and maintenance
- Inspecting landscapes for pests, diseases and irrigation issues
- Following safety procedures and participating in toolbox talks

We are seeking:

- Previous experience with landscaping or parks and gardens work.
- An appropriate level of physical fitness for the work being performed.
- Current C class drivers licence (MR Licence advantageous but not essential)
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Strong reliability,



work ethic and commitment to safety with proven ability to follow directions and work as part of a team (supported by references).

Due to the nature of the work, please note that any offer of employment will be subject to a pre-employment medical, which includes drug and alcohol screening, to ensure you are fit to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role, together with a criminal history check.Mandatory PPE requirements apply and you must be willing to be face-fit tested for a P2 disposable respirator prior to starting.

What’s on offer:

- $45.33 p/hour plus superannuation
- 9 Day working fortnight or 3 day week (6:00am to 3:00pm)
- Local Ipswich-based work
- Initially 3 month assignment with possible extension (Excellent prospect to get your foot in the door and gain experience with an employer of choice in the region)
